I am a qualified English TESOL teacher, with more than six years’ of professional experience. Taking on teaching as a side career has been one of my best life choices. While it can be demanding, I also find it incredibly rewarding.
Over the years, I have helped hundreds of students become more confident in reading and speaking the English language. I have a particular interest in working with teenagers, but have also helped much younger students. My work is a mix of face-to-face (Summer Camps) and online (Zoom, and for my many Chinese families, VooV).
My teaching experience includes:
English Language Camps
In recent years, I’ve spent many school holidays working as a TESOL teacher with children from across Europe in both Easter and Summer camps in the UK and across Europe. At these schools, students typically learn English for 15 hours a week, and teachers help with supervised activities and games outside of these hours. I am proud to say I am a regular teacher with Trinity International Education, both in the UK and abroad, and am also now a TIE Ambassador.
Private TESOL Teacher
Since 2018 I have also worked with a small number of students delivering 1-to-1 online English language teaching. I can work with children aged from 6 to 18, offering tailored class activities that provide a fun way to work towards your desired formal qualification or conversational targets. I have also done a lot of work prepping students for GMAT and IELTS.
University and school TESOL teaching
I also have some experience working in UK educational establishments as an EAP teacher, including at at the University of Salford over Summer 2019, helping returning international students with their Speaking and British Culture skills and awareness.
